REVIEW: NEW Real Techniques Palette Swatches

I am a massive Real Techniques addict, I admit it!  Pretty much all of the makeup brushes I own are from the Real Techniques brand, created by two of my absolute idols - Sam & Nic Chapman (aka Pixiwoo).

They've just launched their first two makeup items - palettes, one of which I wanted to share today!

There are two palettes in the range; Modern Natural and Night Owl which consist of the basic essentials you need to create a look!

I have the Modern Natural palette, which has 4 eyeshadows & a dark brown gel liner, a blusher, cream highlighter & 2 lip glosses which all work to compliment each other beautifully for a neutral golden eye & highlighted base.
I love, love, love the fact that this palette contains a gel eye liner - I've never seen this in a palette before but as I feel naked without liner, this really has everything I need to create my signature smoky eyed look, in one kit.

The girls spent time choosing and creating the exact shades, textures and formulas they wanted for the products and I can agree that the pigmentation and quality of the products are great.  It makes the perfect travel companion so I don't have to carry around individual products, allowing me to easily transform a day look into a night look.

All in all, this is a massive thumbs up from me.  Their palettes are only available from their website (http://realtechniques.com) for  £14.86 (although it's in dollars, they do ship worldwide)

What are your thoughts on the new Real Techniques palettes? Will you be getting one?

  2. What a beautiful pallette. Perfect for every occasion. I think that this pallette allows you to create a beautiful everyday makeup look as also building it up and intensifying it for a night out. Gorgeous colours!

  5. I think it's a really good idea for a palette as it includes so much! I'm not a huge fan of the gloss but like you said, the gel liner idea is really clever and I've never seen a palette include that before.

  11. I've read mixed reviews on these palettes. I'm hoping that this was a sample palette to see how people liked each product and then they will create individual products.

  13. Although I think its a great palette the price seems a bit much compared to the brushes (which I adore).

  16. They're both nice palettes, but I'm kinda hesitant to purchase them because I'm scared the gel liner and cream highlighter will dry out. That often happens to cream products when they're included in palettes because of how often the products are exposed to air.

  27. I love the modern natural palette. I realize that as one gets older, natural is the way to go. This looks like a great makeup to try for sure :)

  28. I'm obsessed with their brushes, and this palette actually looks really amazing! I've been using the Naked3 a lot lately (so much so that I felt the need to give one away on my blog) so I'm all about the natural look right now. Also I'm always down to add a product thats travel friendly to my collection. I'd 100% purchase this!
