The shades are split into three categories; Preppy (neutrals), Colour Block (bright, eye catching shades) and Night Out (deep reds and plums).
I photographed a few of my favs as full-face swatches above. #03 is a stunning pale peach shade, perfect for spring, summer. #09 is also a stunning bright tangerine shade but with a hint of frosting. #10 and 15 are perfect red shades and #14 & #18 are stunning vampy colours. If you’re after a pink then #11, #07 and #12 might be ideal for you.
These lipsticks have everything I want in a lip product – full of colour and pigmentation, super silky, soft and moisturizing on the lips, a fab colour variety to choose from and are affordable and easy to get hold of on the high street. It’s almost enough to make me want to get rid of every other lipstick I own as these will do the job (I couldn’t though, obviously!).
These beauties are available nationwide in stores from February for £7.99, but until then they are exclusive to Selfridges London.
Will you be picking up a few of these beauties? What’s your favourite shade?

For the last two weeks I have been using a brand new range to wash my hair and just couldn’t wait to tell you guys about it. It normally takes me a while to test out new hair care products and to see the difference it makes to the overall condition and look of my hair but after around 8 washes I can already tell you that I am in love with these products!
First of all, I should start off by saying that my hair is quite damaged from 6 years of bleaching and it’s only in the last year that I have been growing my hair out and embracing my natural colour. As well as having dry tips and thick hair which gets matted after a few hours without brushing, it also gets quite greasy, very quickly on the roots (which explains my LOVE of dry shampoo). It is mostly my fringe that suffers (probs because of my forehead), but I thought I should mention this before I review the range.
So, TRESemme have recently launched their new Platinum Strength range, which is made up of five products all aimed at putting strength, manageability and softness back into hair which has suffered due to dying, bleaching, heated styling tools etc. The products have a ‘special technology’ in them which helps to reform the hair ‘lipids’ making the hair follicle more smooth and strong.
On to the products – first of all, the Instant Rescue Shots are incredible. These little babies are to be left on the hair for 60 seconds and will leave your hair feeling oh so soft. I naturally like to leave my conditioners in for a little longer than that, so after three minutes and after rinsing out I can honestly say that my hair hadn’t looked so soft in a very long time (apart from the last time I used the Phillip Kingsly Elastiser, which is fab but a hassle to use). And for only £1.49 per shot it’s much more affordable (I managed to get two uses out of each individual shot).
The Platinum Strength Shampoo & Conditioner are also hero products, making my hair soft and manageable. These two products have also managed to help my greasy roots (no idea how!) but now my hair looks a lot fresher and cleaner for longer which is a big deal for me. The shampoo foams up nicely which makes my hair feel really clean.
There is a leave in conditioner in the range, named the Platinum Strength Stay Soft Leave In which is a light cream which I run through my hair before drying. Finally, there is a Renewing Deep Conditioning Treatment which is a deep conditioner which you can leave in for 3-5 minutes for an even more intense condition. As with all TRES products, the range smells incredible and everything is so affordable and easy to get hold of. The range starts at £1.49 and goes up to just under £6.
Will you be giving Platinum Strength a try? What’s your favourite intensely nourishing hair treatment?

I will admit now (plz don’t judge me) that I am a fan of the Kardashians… okay, maybe not a ‘fan’ but I do watch their TV shows & generally like seeing what they get up to. Anyway, Nicole by OPI created a few sets of nail polishes inspired by the Kardashian family and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them and give them a try!
There are three sets of polishes available containing three polishes each. I received the ‘Rainbow’ set which includes ‘All Kendall-ed Up’ which is a beautiful fuschia pink, ‘Khloe had a little Lam-Lam’ which is a deep, teal green/blue and ‘Rainbow in the S-Kylie’ which is a multi-coloured glitter.
I’m not generally sure what I think about beauty products released on the back of a celeb (as some can be cheap and tacky) but the quality of these polishes are not bad. The pink and teal apply really well needing only two coats to look complete. The glitter was so difficult to photograph but in the flesh it looks really pretty and quirky.
These products are available from QVC (online here!) for £19.75 which I think is a little bit expensive for three nail polishes but if you're a Kardashian fan then you will love these. There are also three more varieties of shades to choose from so there will be a shade selection for everyone!
Are you a Kardashian fan? Have you ever bought makeup from QVC?

Happy Sunday all! Hope you’re having a fab weekend so far and are enjoying the snow! Last week I filmed my first ever weekly vlog and thought I’d share it here for all to see. It was a particularly exciting week as it was filled with events AND my sister’s 22nd birthday, so you can watch to see exactly what the Snooks family and I got up to!
Now not every week will be as exciting as this so I won’t be vlogging every week, but if I have some fun stuff coming up then I will be sure to vlog it all. It’s quite bizarre filming what you get up to but it’s also quite nice to look back on as almost a video diary, so I enjoyed it!
Hope you had a giggle watching it and do let me know what you think!

This post follows on from my Favourite Makeup items from 2012 (which you can read here)! Sorry again about how later this post is, but better late than never!
First up; Hair products! This year, like any other, I have got through multiple cans of Dry Shampoo and last years favourite just had to be VO5’s Refresh Me Quick Shampoo, this smells beautiful and leaves my hair looking so fresh. I haven’t photographed my favourite shampoo and conditioner but it’s a toss up between Ojon’s Dry Recovery range or Kevin Murphy’s Born Again range, both leave my dry hair feeling super soft and manageable. Hair mask of 2012 goes to the absolutely incredible Macadamia Deep Repair Masque – this stuff is SO GOOD, probably my best find of 2012, I need to review this properly cause it’s just amazing. I used and discovered a loada hair oils in 2012 but my favourite has to be the famous Morrocan Oil because it smells delicious and does a good job of smoothing my hair and making it easier to comb through after a wash. I’ve also thrown in L’Oreal’s Salt Spray as my fav styling product as it makes my kinky hair look intentional!
Body products! My skin played havoc last year and was dry all year round and so moisturizers played a big part of my regime. I have two favourite body lotions as I couldn’t just pick one. They are the Kiehls Creme de Corps and La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5. I slather Kiehls on to my whole body after a shower or bath but save the Cicaplast Baume for drier areas of my skin, like my legs and shoulders (where I get the most eczema), both are fab products. Favourite shower gel obviously goes to Femfresh (not the most glamorous, ha!). My favourite perfume of 2012 was my new discovery of Lolita Lempicka’s Si Lolita – this perfume was perfect for my holiday in May but also accompanied me through autumn and winter, review here. Fav body spray was my usual favourite of Superdrug’s own range, in particularly ‘Delicious’ and ‘Flirty’.
Skincare! Favourite makeup remover goes to Bioderma for it’s ability to remove makeup easily and quickly (review here), favourite face wash and skin care range goes to Paula’s Choice Clear range (review)– I still adore these products and will hopefully get some more to review very soon. Favourite blemish cream goes to Quinoderm which is a must have product if you have blemished or acne prone skin, it works wonders.
Finally a few miscellaneous products. Sudocreme was my favourite multi-purpose product of 2012 and is incredible on blemishes and dry skin. Favourite nail polish brand has to go to Nails Inc for their beautiful and high quality shades!
What were your favourite hair, body and skin care products in 2012?

I might be a little late with this but thought I’d still do it anyway, as we are only mid way through winter! I spent a good ten minutes studying my nail varnish rack, choosing my favourite nail polishes for winter. I narrowed it down to 8 beautiful shades (couldn’t possibly get it any lower!) so I hope you enjoy my top picks!
L-R: Illamasqua in Creator, Barry M in #273 Raspberry, Bobbi Brown in Black Pearl, NCLA in Bel Air Trophy Wife, Nails Inc in Sloane Gardens, Essie in Bordeaux, Bourjois in Bleu Moonlight, Estee Lauder in Fallen Angel
Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Creator – This polish was launched in the Generation Q range and is a black polish packed with silver specs which resmebles a clear starry night on the nails. Super gothic and perfect for winter.
Barry M Nail Paint in #273 Raspberry – You can’t beat a nice deep berry red polish to add a twist on the classic red nail in the winter months and this polish is a nice and affordable way to wear this trend!
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Nail Polish in Black Pearl – This is a beauty and probably one of the nicest to apply out of the bunch. On the nails, this looks like a metallic black/grey, almost like metal.
NCLA Nail Lacquer in Bel Air Trophy Wife – This is one of my favourite nail polishes ever because it goes with anything (and any other nail polishes) and because the formula is so great. The shade is a bronzed gold shimmer, absolutely stunning.
Nails Inc polish in Sloane Gardens – I can’t resist a glitter shade, even in the winter! Sloane Gardens is a beautiful navy blue glitter. It does take a good few coats to become opaque, but it works really well when worn over the Bourjois shade below!
Essie Nail Lacquer in Bordeaux – This is probably my most worn Essie nail polish and apart from the fact that it is quite streaky on the nails and takes a few coats to make it look perfect, it is one of my fav shades.
Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel Polish in Bleu Moonlight – I reviewed this not long ago and am still in love with it. This navy midnight blue needs only ONE coat to look perfect.
Estee Lauder Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in Fallen Angel – This is almost an exact dupe for the Barry M shade but with a better quality formula (and sexy glass bottle). The perfect kind of deep winter red.
So there we have it; a bunch of pretty nail shades to last you through what’s left of the winter months! I’d love to hear what your favourite polishes of the season have been, so do let me know!

Alongside my overall life New Year’s Resolutions I decided to try something slightly different this year and make up some general beauty and hair resolutions! I seem to get stuck in a rut with my beauty routine and since starting working I find I have less and less time to experiment with my look. This year I’ve decided to set myself a challenge of trying out a few new things in 2013.
This post was inspired by a little competition that the hair tool brand Cloud Nine are holding at the moment. 5 people will win a Cloud Nine hair tool of their choice simply by sharing their #2013Hair Resolution!
1) Generally make more of an effort! I normally just wash my hair before bed, wake up with it kinky and go to work… this isn’t good enough (I mean, I should at least brush my hair!). I will make more of an effort to style it and keep it looking presentable.
2) I’m trying to get back to my natural hair colour as I’ve been dying it since I was 15, so I only want to get highlights once at the most this year. Not changing it’s colour will also help it become easier to manage and a lot healthier.
3) Experiment with styles. I’m pretty much nailed the kinky and fishtail look and occasionally wear a top knot (when I’m not feeling too self conscious about my face!) but these get boring easily to I want to try a few new hair styles (I’ve already been browsing Pinterest for inspiration).
Examples of my boring hair styles -
1) Wear my signature smokey eyes less and learn to feel more confident without my trusty eyeliner – this means going to work wearing just mascara and base products!
2) Swap up my daily makeup bag to try different items in my collection. I have a vast array of beautiful products just waiting to be used so I want to make the most out of my stash and swap up the products I use daily on a regular basis.
You can enter Cloud Nine’s competition by tweeting your resolution at @CloudNineC9 with the hashtag #2013Hair, entering on their Facebook page or by commenting on their blog! More details are here!
So they are my resolutions – what are yours?

Okay, okay I’m a little late with this but it’s only because I had trouble narrowing down all my favourites from the past year! It’s been a great year for makeup and I’ve discovered and found a load of new, incredible beauty products! I’ve split my favourites in to three categories: Base & Face, Eyes and Lips!
Base & Face Products
Foundation has to go to MAC’s Full Coverage Foundation which has lasted me so well, even after constant use. This foundation gives me such good coverage even when my skin is horrendous. (Runner up goes to Cover FX’s Total Cover Cream foundation). Concealer of the year has to be Collection 2000’s Long Lasting Perfecting concealer, this is an absolute bargain product which now goes everywhere with me (I’ve also got my Mum AND Dad addicted to this!). Gives coverage and lasts well on the skin! Fair is the perfect shade for my pale skin. Eye Primer has to be the famous Urban Decays Primer Potion (no need to discuss why). Highlighter of the year is MAC’s Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel; this liquid highlighter gives me the most natural glow. Favourite blusher of the year goes to another affordable product; 17’s Blusher in Brickie. This shade has a great pigmentation and goes well with my skin all year round. Finally, big thumbs up for the Real Techniques Buffing Brush for helping apply my foundation perfectly!
Four products here which have kept my lips in top shape and which have been used almost daily! Firstly to keep my lips soft I have used The Body Shop’s Cocoa Butter Lipbalm; it smells like chocolate and keeps my lips moisturized. To line my lips my favourite product has been The Body Shop’s Lip Liner in Pink Brown, it is the perfect natural shade for my lips. Favourite Lipstick is my holy grail lippie, which is Barely There by Sleek Makeup. New Entry is in the form of Stila’s Stay All Day Lipstick in Dolce which come in a variety of beautiful shades which are deeply pigmented and last on the lips!
Favourite Palette of the year has to be the HD Brows Palette in Vamp – I used this as both brow and eyeshadow powders throughout 2012 as the shades are just perfect for daily wear. MAC’s Nylon Eyeshadow wins Favourite Individual Eyeshadow award for it’s beauty and ability to go with any other shade. Max Factors False Lash Effect Mascara was my favourite mascara, it makes my lashes look amazing! I had a few different favourite eyeliners, I’ll start with my favourite Pen Eyeliner which is Eyeko’s Skinny Liner in Black – it is super pigmented and the nib is the perfect size to draw a thin line. I have two favourite Kohl Eyeliners for 2012 (naughty!) which are Bourjois’s Shadow and Light pencils and Rimmel’s Scandaleyes Pencils, both come in great colours and are super pigmented and soft so they don’t hurt my eyes. Gel liner goes to Maybelline’s Gel Liner! Favourite Eyeshadow Brushes again goes to Real Techniques – they are so soft and come in great sizes and shapes so there is a brush for every look!
I hope this has been slightly interesting? I didn’t know how to lay this post out so let me know if it was easy or difficult to read (and if you prefer it to last year’s which you can read here). I also have a 2012 favourite body, hair and skin products post coming up in a few days so stay tuned for that!
Have you favoured any of the same products as me? What was your favourite all time product of 2012?

This time of the year is always full of love, merriness and kissing (I personally think Christmas is the most romantic time of the year). So, what better than a post on how to keep your mouth on top form for all that snogging?
First up – your toothbrush is important! For the last two months I have been using the Colgate ProClinic A1500 which is the newest electrical toothbrush on the market. This bad boy is pretty impressive as it automatically adjusts its speed depending on the angle that you hold it, meaning that it is good for both gums and teeth. I also ADORE that it has a little pacer which alerts you every 30 seconds with a little beep so that you know when to change to another section of your mouth (it also stops after two minutes to ensure that you brush for the full recommended time). I must admit it did take a little getting used to as the vibrations are very high (and also very loud) but after one week I realised that I really enjoy using this instead of a manual toothbrush and my mouth really does feel better for it!
Next – toothpaste! I love toothpastes that leave my mouth feeling super minty and look for ones which are whitening as well. Recently I have been switching up between Oral B’s 3D White Brilliance toothpaste and Blanx products! You’ve probably seen that Holly Williguby is the face of the Oral B 3D White which itself is enough to get me to use it – but it really does the job of making my mouth feel minty and clean. I am also a big fan of Blanx products. I use the Extra White paste in the smaller tube for two weeks every month as it is an intense whitening treatment. Blank toothpastes come with a little colour chart so you can notice the progress of the whiteness of your teeth. I can’t say I have noticed any miracle changes in the colour of my teeth but let’s just say that are pretty white despite all the tea & red wine I drink.
Finally – Gum! I always have a packet of chewing gum in my bag and my favourite at the moment is by Mentos! I normally just buy Extra gum but I think Mentos gum is much nicer. It’s slightly harder to find in shops (some newsagents have them though) but I find them a lot more minty and the taste lasts much longer. They also have lots of different flavours (the strawberry is really nice too).
There we have it, by top tips for kissing and fresh breath this winter! Have fun y’all (but keep safe)!
What are your favourite toothpastes and gum?

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL! I hope everyone had an absolutely incredible time celebrating the start of 2013 last night! I thought I would write up a little summary post of the year and include this years New Years Resolutions!
New Years Resolutions.
1) Say ‘YES’ more! Last year one of my resolutions was to be more sociable (I’m one of those people who would prefer to stay in bed with a film & tea rather than go out all night on the lash) and I definitely have been more sociable in 2012, so this year I want to continue and generally just say ‘yes’ more (with the exception of course). I do not want to turn down opportunities and I feel like saying yes to things will give me a greater life experience!
2) Record all memories! The resolution to write in my journal at least once a week is a challenge I set myself every year and fail miserably! I feel like every year my memory is getting worse and so I want to be able to record all of the good things that happen so I can look back and smile (or cry!) at everything that happened. I’ve decided that writing in a diary doesn’t work so I’m going to try a new way of making that happen this year – I’m going to buy a big empty jar and whenever something good happens, I’m going to write it on a piece of paper and pop it in the jar. That way at the end of next year I can read all the nice memories that happened and feel positive!
3) Be less sensitive. I am probably one of the world’s most sensitive girls. I will cry at anything and get upset quite easily and it pretty much ruined a few relationships for me last year, so in 2013 I want to become stronger. I need to take things with a pinch of salt more and take things to heart less. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to do this but I’ll try my hardest.
4) Banish my phobia. I have a terrible phobia of sick (emetophobia - people being sick around me and being sick myself, just sick in general) and it has got to such a point where it is controlling my life at the moment and this needs to change. I have panic attacks regularly, it is destroying my social life (having to leave parties early in case any one is sick) and it also makes me feel like a terrible person – if a relative or friend is vomiting I can’t offer them any support or kindness because the phobia takes over and I become selfish and a person I don’t like. I’m going to look into counselling or therapy to get rid of this phobia which is slowly taking over my life. I am thinking about writing a post on my phobia in full, it might help myself understand it a little better and it might offer support for any one else suffering with the same thing.
Past year round up.
Looking back, 2012 has definitely been one of my favourite years of my life so far, and that mainly had to do with the fact that I fell in love with someone I believed was my soulmate. The year showed me that I can still love and be loved and although my relationship didn’t work out, I’m keeping positive for this year. I am someone who loves my own space and can happily spend hours alone, but I am such a hopeless romantic that someone to share life with just seems to make everything better. The latter half of the year has been admittedly pretty terrible for me; giving up on that love did ruin my self confidence and happiness but thankfully I have the world’s greatest friends and family who have helped me out and been there for me.
I managed to tick off last year’s ‘be more sociable’ resolution and because of that I have kept in touch with friends and have made an incredible bunch of new friends who I cherish and adore. I’d like to say a humungous thank you to my best friend Alex for being there for me throughout my ups and downs in 2012, he was the one always there for me, listening to my adventures and then there to pick me up and give me words of encouragement I felt down. I also want to give love to the incredible friends I have met through blogging, these girls are all unique and incredible in their own right and have all helped me grow this year – Lina, Jen, Lily, Zoe, Emma, Lucy.
2012 was also the year that I started working in a job I absolutely adore. Last night when I was tipsy I actually thought to myself, how bloody lucky am I to work in a job with an incredible boss and workmate, doing something I really enjoy doing which also allows me to have new experiences. I am really looking forward to my working life this year!
FINALLY – I’d like to say that this blog has been the one consistent things throughout the past three years of my life and to have support from people that read what I have to say is pretty mindblowing for me. When I started this blog three years ago it was just a hobby to help me relax, clear my head and write about beauty and I count myself so lucky that I am able to have met some wonderful people through blogging, as well as being offered some great new experiences. My blog is still my greatest achievement which I am so proud of, so thank you for reading it!
I wish you all an incredible 2013! Let me know what your New Years Resolutions are!
