Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner Review & Swatches!

102
RIMMEL
L-R #013 Purple, #014 Bright Blue, #010 Silver, #004 Taupe, #005 Nude, #012 Bronze,  #001 Black

Rimmel have recently bought out new waterproof kohl eyeliners, named Scandal Eyes which are available in 6 new shades (but for some reason I only photographed 5 in the product photograph above!).  They are intensely pigmented, super creamy and smooth meaning they are easy to use and don’t tug at the eye area whilst applying.  There are a shade of neutrals – like nude and taupe (I love to use taupe underneath my lower lashes to create a smokey effect).  The black is now a staple in my handbag, I use it to line my waterline and smudge above my top lash line.  The blue and purple are perfect for girls who like a bit of colour and the silver is absolutely stunning for evening looks!

The only negative I can spot is the fact that because they are so soft and creamy, they do melt quite easily, meaning they can be quite hard to sharpen.  No fear though – you can always pop them in your fridge for a bit before sharpening to harden them up!

These babies retails at only £3.99 in Boots and Superdrug which I think is the most perfect price – they are a great quality and affordable to keep repurchasing.

What are your favourite kohl eyeliners?  What colour is your fav?

  2. I only have the Nude liner but I absolutely love it. I'd been looking for a nude liner for ages and eventually tweeted because I was having difficulty finding one. I'm going to buy back ups of this because i'm terrified they stop making it :p

  4. I might have to invest in a couple of these, my current eyeliner is running out. I'll definitely be getting the black, it looks so much darker than the one I'm using right now! And I think I'll get the purple too, thanks for the review! :)

  24. I'm on the hunt for a waterproof drugstore eyeliner that doesn't drag and it seems this is a good solution! Are they anything like the UD pencil liners? X

  25. I think I'm going to pick up the Nude and Taupe.
I had a look at them in store the other week but there was only two left and both had been used!
I hate it when that happens, use testers!

  27. These are still not available in the US and the only one I really want is the nude b/c it's the dupe to the MAC Chromagraphic pencil in nude. I guess I will continue to wait until they become available, along with the Kate Moss Matte lipsticks.

  31. How do u retract it or sharpen it someone please help me haha

  32. You need a sharpener, but my sharpener doesn't seem to work on this pencil. It works fine on my other pencils, so I find this very annoying. Love the color though(nude).

    1. Yes they sharpen just like a pencil with a pencil sharpener which took me awhile to figure out cuz to me they looked all plastic but they do sharpen with a pencil sharpener I seemed to have to push up on it towards the black as I'm sharpening it but it works just keeps messing with it til it starts to sharpen.

    3. I'm very disappointed in it. I thought it was one that could be rolled up.

    5. I have the large pencil and it won't fit into the sharpener, even the large side. Any ideas? This is the second pencil that I've purchased that I can't sharpen. Very frustrating!

  36. I bought the black one, the first time I tried it the tip broke and I didn't have a sharpener. Actually thought that it would be one of those when you roll out the tip more and more, but nope. It covered pretty good though.

  37. I bought it, the first time I tried it the tip fell off. I didn't have a sharpener. Actually thought it would be one of those where you roll in more of the tip, but nooope. But it has great coverage!
