Famous Eyeshadow Palette in Exposed Review

Famous Cosmetics recently upgrading and revamped their range and from what I’ve seen, I love (you can read a review of one of their blushers here).  Today I am bringing you swatches and a review of one of their new ‘High Five’ Eyeshadow Palettes.

FAMOUS EYESHADOW PALETTE
FAMOUS PALETTEFAMOUS EXPOSED

First things first, the packaging is great – very sturdy and fashionable, with a leopard print design and even diamantes, very flash for the high street.  This palette is called ‘Exposed’ and contains two matte shadows and three shimmer: the perfect combination if you ask me!  All five shadows are extremely pigmented and work together beautifully to create either a natural day look, or a smokey night look.  In the eye photo’s above I’ve used all three shimmer shades (along with lashings of mascara and eyeliner) to create a smouldering look for the evening.

The only negative I can find at all with this palette is perhaps the fact that because the eye shadows are so pigmented, there is quite a lot of fall out from the product (so just do your eyes first and then apply foundation/powder).  But apart from that, it is a stunning product which is an absolute steal at £4.99 in Superdrug stores!

Have you been eyeing up any of the Famous Eyeshadow Palettes?  Do you prefer shimmer or matte eye shadows?

xxxxxx

I've heard a lot about famous cosmetics recently (hence the name) and I'm really interested in buying some products! Especially the blushes and eyeshadows! Are there any other products you have tried or recommend? Xxx

This looks great, I'm always a sucker for brown eye shadows (especially when they're super pigmented).I used to love matte shadows but I'm preferring shimmer ones at the moment x

I love the matte color. These are the shades that I prefer wearing everyday since I am a day person. It looks so natural and light. can't wait to try them on.

I love the famous range so much!

Am spoilt as a London girl cos I can access it pretty much whenever I want.
Would definitely recommend it for it quality in the chemist/ drugstore price bracket for quality.

Like one of the previous comments I was definitely IN LOVE with one of the lipstick shades from the previous range – Famous by Sue Moxley – which came in the cutest cuboid packaging but now no longer exists!

Anyway, mourning aside, the current range is super too. I have the 'Angelina' blush – a deep rose with almost peachy undertones – would highly recommend to olive skinned beauties. Have got 3 of the lipglosses which are incredibly pigmented – one is even iridescent (a bit like those famous Inglot ones). Got some nailpolishes too though haven't tried them out yet… Have their 'High 5 eyeshadows' in most of the colours and are of a very good quality. Why not give them a go while they are on offer? Also have some of their merged eyeshadows which are very softly shimmery. All beautiful but do have some fallout and not available in a very big colour range. may be a problem for some but not for me as I like neutrals best.

I also have the leopard palette, which I bought as a treat as I can't really bring myself to fork out for the 2 Naked palettes or some of the Too Faced ones which I have loved every time I have swatched! Will probably get the big cat and zebra palettes while they are on promotion even though I'm not that into blue eyeshadow just cos they are dirt cheap at the moment. Am a tad concerned that they have almost identical colours for eyes so will have to check that out first.

Was on their site jst now to check shade name and they have 1/2 price on EVERYTHING plus free nail glitter gift set on orders over a tenner. Check it out! Plus the store location is no longer a problem for any rural beauties out there! 😀

    Hope this helps girls.

Thanks for your lovely swatches Katie!
