Sleek Makeup ‘Haul’!

Sleek is one of my favourite makeup brands on the high street, it’s no secret, you all know it!  So when they sent round an email with a discount code on it I became ridiculously excited and placed my order straight away!  I decided to purchase some products I hadn’t tried before and a few of my favourites and thought I’d show you what I bought today!

028

New Skin Revive Foundation in Linen – I already own this foundation, but in a shade way too dark for me, so I decided to go ahead and order the palette shade available, which is much better on my skin.  I’m looking forward to trying this out properly and will write up a full review soon!

Corrector and Concealer Palette in Fair – I didn’t actually know that Sleek had this product and it looked interesting so I though why not!  I’m always on the look out for good concealers for blemishes so I can’t wait to use this!

Pout Paint in Minx – I love Pout Paints but this is the only colour I wanted which I didn’t own already.  It’s a beautiful nudey-pink shade which I think will be a very easy colour to wear daily.

Twist Up Eye Pencil in Midnight and Chocolate – The Twist Up liner in Midnight is my all time favourite black eyeliner.  The colour is intense and so pigmented and the fact that you don’t have to sharpen it just makes my life so much easier.  I’ve already used about four of these and get through them so quickly, I thought I’d better buy a back up.  I also chose to get the same in Chocolate – a brown shade which I’ve been using the past two days and love already.  It’s a great substitute to a black liner and gives me a much more subtle smokey eye.

Eau La La Liner in Melba and Red Sky Night  I’d been eyeing up these two shades in Superdrug ever since the Eau La La liners had been released and I’m happy I picked them up!  Melba is a peachy orange shade and Red Sky Night is a beautiful dusty pink which matches Minx Pout Paint really well!

I’m really happy with everything I ordered and am really looking forward to trying them out properly.  If any of these products look right ‘up your street’, then let me know and I’ll put it to the top of my ‘to review’ list!  Also – Sleek have also updated their website – making it a lot easier to use and also adding swatches of each product so you can see how they look on different skin types, which is a great idea and makes online shopping much easier!

Have you been eyeing up anything from Sleek recently?

I can't seem to find the concealer pallett online, perhaps it hasn't been properly released yet because I hadn't heard of it before now either! <3

I have never tried sleek which I think is a crime against beauty! Whenever I go back to the UK I am totally overwhelmed by boots and superdrug and end up forgetting and missing loads! These all look great- I MUST remember to pick some up next time xx

I've got a few eau la la liners I would really recommend if possible to store them somewhere without their lids on because after you've put it on and off a few times it sucks all the liner out of the pencil when you take it off again x

Ah thank you – I'm already having a little trouble with them melting, not good! x

Whats the code? Or cant you share it? 🙂 The shipping cost to the EU is TERRIBLE! They should really work on it… 🙁 I really like your haul, all the items look lovely! I never heard about the concealer palette either 😮

    • August 21, 2012 / 8:36 pm

Hiya! The code has now expired so it won't work now unfortunately! I agree with shipping prices being too high! xx

  16. August 21, 2012 / 8:54 pm

Nice haul! I'm very interested in the foundation, and how it compares to other pale foundations you reviewed before 🙂

  17. August 21, 2012 / 9:51 pm

I love Sleek, that concealer/corrector looks interesting!

  18. August 21, 2012 / 11:19 pm

I can't wait for a review on the foundation as I've been eyeing it up for a while now but haven't heard much about it. The conceal and correcting palette sounds intriguing too 🙂 xox

After reading your blog yesterday, I looked at the pale foundations on the Sleek website and thought I'd try out the creme to powder in the palest option. Rather than order online I popped into Superdrug at lunchtime and was annoyed to find that they stock around 16 of the possible 30 shades available.

I was impressed on behalf of those at the other end of the spectrum to me that, at last, there is a range with a great choice of dark shades to pick from rather than the "dark" one-colour-suits-all option that is usually available but annoyed to see that the lightest shade they offered to very pale people was White Rose, which is far too dark for me.

You'd think that the store would stock a good selection at both extremes of the spectrum as those lucky people in the middle are well catered for elsewhere on the High Street but I guess the Superdrug buyers have played safe and picked the middle tones although, as I said, kudos to them for stocking a good range of the dark colours. Well, it seemed a good range but I am happy to be corrected.

I can't buy a single foundation in Superdrug or Boots; I use EL Double Wear in Shell. At least I can easily pop to Stratford and get it now!

As my "want it, want it now" was not resolved, I'll get the tester palette online. I just hate waiting!

I used to work as a Beauty Consultant at Superdrug and always loved it when the new Sleek products came in. I don't even think I used to earn any money as I spent it all on beauty products 🙂 haha.

I second a swatch/review! I live in Australia so I'd need to order the tester palette online and the shipping seems like a lot. Plus, the light tester kit is always out of stock!! I have a very similar skintone to you so I often use your blog as research 😛
