How to: Dramatic Smokey Eye Tutorial!

I was talking about my blog the other day with Mother Snooks (she checks it a few times a week to see what I’ve been writing about and to pester me about how bad my grammar is – hiii Mummmy!) and she said that even though I’m a beauty blogger, I don’t actually post photographs of my makeup that often.

I totally agree – I know that reviews and swatch posts are helpful but it’s also nice to see that the blogger whose blog you are reading can actually apply makeup and know what they are doing!  So with this constructive criticism on board, I decided right there and then to start posting more of my makeup looks and to start filming more tutorials so you can copy me!

I decided to start off with a dramatic smokey eye look accompanied by glitter, peach cheeks and nude lips.  I wore this look out to a gig where the theme was ‘sparkle’ so I couldn’t resist but add loadsa glitter at the end (you can obviously copy this but without the sparkles, although it makes a nice look for NYE or parties etc!).

This is the look I am wearing in my ‘top 10 fav high street lipsticks’ video as well FYI!)

It's great to see other peoples techniques, so it was fun to watch 🙂 The only thing that could be improved imo, was if you'd cut it a bit shorter here and there because 12 minutes is quite long. But please make more of these!

Love the Creme Cup lipstick! I have to pick it up myself as well! I recently just went to a MAC counter and picked up four items because I had a gift card. I wanted to get a lipstick as well but for some reason I didn't!! The products I got were Painterly paint pot, Well Dressed and Dollymix blushes and the clear brow set.

This is quite off topic, but I thought you might enjoy this website. I am bookworm myself, and this is an incredible site. You can watch interviews with authors, have books suggested to you according to your interests. http://www.goodreads.com. I can't wait for their recommendation of this month, book named: Bridge of Scarlet Leaves by Kristina McMorris to arrive. You should check it out. It sounds like something I could read in couple of days. Hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
