February Glossy Box!

I had forgot that it was that time of the month again when the postman came a knockin’ on my door with the Feb GlossyBox. As usual, I saw down with a cup of tea, my camera and eagerly opened the box and spent time playing and trying all of the products (I do love this little Glossy Box routine I have going on!).

Dr. Bronner’s Magic Liquid Soap – I had heard a lot about Dr. Bronner’s magic soaps before (mainly from The Gloss Goss) but I had yet to try it so I was pleasantly pleased when I spotted it in my box. As you all know, I love multi purpose products and this is another great one. You can use it as a bath soap, cleanser, shower gel, shampoo, etc; On the bottle it states that there are 18 different uses for this. I got the ‘Rose’ scent which is lovely, it smells like rose water.

Paul Mitchell Round Tip Liquid Curl Definer – I’m very excited about this product except for the fact that it had leaked in transit, so I was left with a very sticky, wet, (albeit lovely smelling) box. I’m looking forward to using this when I next curl my hair.

Como Shambhala Invigorate Lotion – I have way too many body lotions so I was not too bothered when I saw this, but I must say it does smell lovely on the skin. It smells a lot like my Mother’s flower garden - geranium, lavender, but also has the added extra of peppermint and eucalyptus which makes it feel really refreshing on the skin. I wouldn’t like to wear this smell out as it is quite ‘olde’ smelling, but its perfect for after a bath and is definitely invigorating.

DuWop Venom Gloss – I know that a lot of people will be happy when they spot this in their box. Duwop is a really big name in the lip plumping world. The colour is lovely, I received the shade ‘Buttercup’ which looks natural and sheer on the lips.

BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow – Last product and another makeup piece! This is a mineral, loose pigment eyeshadow and I received the shade ‘Noir’ which is a pitch black with a hint of shimmer. This is very, very pigmented so its perfect for smokey eyes. I have been using it to ‘set’ my black gel eyeliner and it works a treat. This is very messy though so beware!

What I think – I think this is a really nice well rounded box, with two pieces of makeup and a little bit of body, skin and hair care, there’s a little bit for each inch of your body. It might not be the most exciting box, but it is one which I will get a lot of use out of!

What did you get in your Glossy Box? Would you be happy with two items of makeup?

P.S – Next month something extra exciting (but secret for the time being!) is happening with Glossy Box. I’m not sure what it is yet, but keep your eyes peeled!

I'm still excited though :) cant wait to try the DuWop venom gloss as i have heard loads about it.

In answer to your question... I personally don't mind receiving more than one make up item in my boxes as its what i spend most money on so love getting the chance to try new things :)

P.s eeeeek i wonder what next months surprise is?!?!?!

  6. I was really underwhelmed with this months box. 1st time though so I won't be leaving them. You can't please everyone all of the time.

I have just discovered that my hair now holds curls (after years and years of them dropping out) so I look forward to trying the paul mitchell

  7. I wasnt overly impressed with this box, like yourself I have no passion for body lotions due to having sensitive skin on my legs so I always use Aveeno. I dont curl my hair so doubt I would use the Paul Mitchell product, so overall this is probably my worst box to date. I have been considering loosing a box - I currently get Glossy, Prive/Jolie and Carmine but I really liked last months Glassy box due to the Clarins creams.......ah decisions, decisions which box to loose?

  8. This is definitely the best box I've reveived (possibly because it's the first time I hadn't read any 'spoiler' posts beforehand). I got the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm which I've used in the past and will be so great for travelling (mine didn't leak thankfully!) and the Dr Bronner's lavender hand sanitizer which I LOVE. So pleased and can't wait for the mystery Glossy Box thing that's going on xx

  9. I hate to sound like a moaner but Glossybox is seriously lacking in consistency. Theres no happy medium, the boxes sway from brilliant to pathetic. Certain products arrive practically empty after they've leaked over everything else in the box.

    Get your act together Glossybox.

  10. Got my 1st one today and its great! Love love love the Becca beach tint. The colour is fab, it smells amazing and glides on beautifully. The Awaphuhi wild ginger treatment oil sounds perfect for me and i love the colour of the BM pure mineral eyeshadow. I wouldn't have brought the lavender hand sanitizer but it smells surprising nice and will always come in handy with a mucky toddler running around. Least favourite would be the shower gel. Its a bit blah but i would imagine it will get used on a weekend away. Overall i'm really pleased with it and i'm defo gonna stick around for another month or 2. Am very intrigued to find out what the mystery box is, roll on the 24th!!!

  11. Whats the special surprise for next month? Is it something for mothers day or a popular brand or something? I remember the first popular glossy box had a Nars illuminator in it and since then they've gone downhill.
